Name: Nauru Yaren
Pronunciation: nɔː.ruː jɑ.rɛn
Age: 24
Sex: Male
Height: 6'4"
Species: Dragon
Eye Color: Red
Hair Color: Red
Clothing: Is only ever seen in uniform, which has been modified to fit his wings, tail, and feet. Long dark blue coat with gold trim and broad sleeves, gold epaulets, white pants. Occasionally wears greaves and gauntlets (under the sleeves) when he wants to feel extra-important. Wears open-toed shoes with metal plating, but would rather go barefoot.
Other: Blue skin, clawed hands and feet, poofy gold wings on his head and back.
Occupation: Palace guard/royal BFF
Skills: Hovering, spearing things, letting all those years of training go to waste.
Likes: Feeling important, meat-on-a-stick, not working.
Dislikes: When people are better at things than him, people with sucky attitudes, failure.
Personality: One word: Goofy. He often has a go at heroism and chivalry, but he's not very good at it.
Story: At age 13, Nauru entered a military training program in order to become a royal city guard. The pamphlets promised things like fighting off hordes of orcs (despite the fact that they don't exist) and that seemed cool at the time. (Okay, it still does.) He spent 5 years there, before being assigned to guard the royal palace. Which would be pretty sweet, were it not for the fact that all he ever does it mill about and look tall. That is, when he's not tooling around the city with a princess, getting into all sorts of crazy scrapes, or poking fun at the angry cross dresser.
Relationships:
Dulche: She’s his best (and pretty much only non-Petruka-) friend, which kind of gives you an idea of his mental age.
Azaroth: He finds Azaroth to be fascinating, which he shows by making fun of him constantly.
Sayna: She's his boss. That's it. He's fairly Sayna-neutral, which is an odd thing indeed.
Petruka: Fellow palace guard and kinda girlfriend.
Sitabas:
Lylokien:
Character History: I’m pretty hazy on the history of Nauru; I think he may have been a Digimon fan character. Yes, okay, laugh now. Probably created around 2002. I’m not sure how he got worked into the whole Caridea storyline, but whatever. He’s pretty much been the same, ever since he turned away from the darkside of fan characterdom. Goofy sidekick and such. His clothing has, oddly, been mostly the same, too, assumably because he’s really hard to draw. And, yes, he is named after the island of Nauru, though his name is pronounced differently (wrong).
